Our 23.5 acre urban zoo has the distinguished honor of being the third oldest zoo in the United States.

WCS's jewel-like zoo in Manhattan has existed only since 1988 - yet its full history stretches back to the last century. The evolution of this city landmark launched the modern trend in urban zoos around the nation: the transformation of cages and menagerie-style zoos into natural habitat exhibits that educate, involve, and connect people to our natural world.

Located in Watertown, NY is a fully accredited zoo with the AZA and features many exhibits of wild animals and farm animals. There are educational, group, and individual activities offered at the zoo.

The Prospect Park Zoo opened on October 5, 1993, becoming the fifth facility in Wildlife Conservation Society's unique network of wildlife parks in New York City.

The Queens Zoo, a tribute to American animals, opened to the public on June 25, 1992. It was the second of three "city zoos" to be renovated and operated by Wildlife Conservation Society, through a partnership with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.

We are especially proud of our Zoo, from its focus on animal welfare to its “green building” status to its interactive capabilities. Our Zoo’s educational programs and special events invite the public to come into the Zoo, learn more about animals and conservation, and relax and enjoy some wonderful family time.

The Staten Island Zoo is the place to learn to love living things!

The Trevor Zoo was founded in 1936 by Frank Trevor, Millbrook School's first biology teacher and a man with a passion for sharing his love of wildlife with all people, especially students. Today it is an integral part of the school and has grown so that it now accommodates more than 120 exotic and indigenous animals. In 1989, the zoo was accredited by AZA (American Zoo and Aquarium Association).
