Trevor Zoo (Visit this link)

Accommodates more than 120 exotic and indigenous animals. The outdoor exhibits include animals from four geographical areas, Australia, North America, Asia, and South America. The indoor exhibits include seven primate species, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and arachnoids. Includes resources for teachers and students.

The zoo is a part of both the science program and the Community Service Program. 40 students work on a daily basis at the Trevor Zoo, caring for an animal or group of animals, providing necessary maintenance and creating new exhibits. Students learn all aspects of modern zoo management from five full-time staff as well as consulting veterinarians.

The Trevor Zoo is a unique facility. There is no other zoo which is part of a college preparatory school. The zoo's educational mission, however, extends to all zoo visitors who we hope will gain a greater understanding of wildlife and the natural world during their time here.
