Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (Visit this link)

There is no place on earth that you will enjoy an encounter with Koalas like that presented at Lone Pine. With 130 adult koalas and new joeys (baby koalas) emerging all year round, two keeper shows a day, and koala cuddles and photos all day long, you will not leave disappointed.

Pat the alpine dingoes as they go for their daily stroll through the sanctuary.

Touch a snake when you attend the daily snake talk by our reptile keeper. You'll be surprised at just how warm and soft they can be, and you'll earn bragging rights to your friends back home!

At Lone Pine, pythons are used for the snake holding due to their generally quiet temper, and that they are non-venomous and are accustomed to being handled.

During the warmer months the catfish visit every day for a feed from the visitors. Occasionally we even spot a shark lurking in the waters of the Brisbane River.

Customers can enjoy catfish feeding at Lone Pine's jetty during summer (October to March, daily at 11am). These fascinating fish have mouths almost as big as their raging appetites!

In the 2 hectare (5 acre) Kangaroo reserve, over 130 kangaroos and wallabies hop about eagerly awaiting their daily hand-feeding by visitors.

With 6 different species of kangaroos and wallabies, you can spend all day feeding these majestic creatures.

The wild lorikeets lucky enough to live around Lone Pine get to enjoy a special lorikeet mix at feeding times. This complete nectar provides the birds with a healthy meal of oats, cereals, vitamins and minerals to supplement their natural diet.

At 9:30 am and 3:00 pm every day, a special nectar mix is prepared and visitors feed the local lorikeets that come down for a very vocal chat. Keep a look out throughout the day for all sorts of different bird species that pay a call to our beautiful natural surroundings. The grounds are also home to a large group of Eastern Water Dragons that like to mingle with our guests.

These are just a few things you can see and do at Lone Pine.
