Wildwater Expeditions (Visit this link)
What is your primary motivation for a whitewater rafting, climbing or kayaking trip? Do you want to challenge yourself, to share an outdoor experience with your friends or family, or just kick back and have a good time. Heck, maybe you want to do all those things. What activities do you want to do? Do you want to raft, kayak, climb or rappell? Or perhaps you want to bike, horseback ride or combine several activities into one trip?
Usually we recommend the Lower New River for folks that are looking for adventure, but have never been rafting before. The Upper New is usually best for families with children between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. If you've been rafting before and want to turn it up a notch, check out the Lower Gauley. If you are looking for some of the most challenging whitewater in the United States, belly up to the bar and feast on the Upper Gauley. For more information on any of these stretches of river, give us a call at 1.800.WVA.RAFT (982.7238) or drop us an email at wvaraft@wvaraft.com.
To plan a successful rafting trip, it is best to take into consideration what adventures you want, your physical capabilities and the make up of your group (age range, interests, special needs). If you let us know those things, we can steer you to an appropriate adventure for you and your group. Also, if you need additional information about other attractions because you are staying for several days, we'll be glad to point you in the right direction!
