Please allow me to introduce you to Sunshine Rafting Adventures. My name is Jim Foust and I'm the founder and general manager of Sunshine Rafting Adventures/Knights Ferry Rafting. My love of American rivers came through hunting and fishing on the rivers in my native Tennessee as a youth, and later through canoeing float trips in the nearby Ozark Mountains. After college, I went to work as a Park Ranger, first at Yosemite and later as a Ranger in the Stanislaus River Park System where the river worked its magic on me. In 1984, after rafting most river rafting locations in America, I started float trips on the Stanislaus at Knights Ferry with the mission to provide a variety of quality, affordable, river-based tours to safely meet the needs of those who feel the spirit of adventure and nature. Please allow us to share our love of rivers and California whitewater rafting as you enjoy the excitement and magic the Stanislaus River can bring.
