Most of our guides are long time Alaska residents with knowledge of the area and its hazards. They can share a wealth of information with you as well as work to make your trip safe and comfortable in the extremes of Alaska. Some of our guides come up every summer from the "lower 48", and bring with them a great diversity of knowledge and experience from around the globe. Mark has lived in Alaska for over 20 years working in and around boats of all shapes and sizes from rafts to a 100' crab boats. Each spring he plies the waters at the mouth of the Copper River in his commercial salmon boat, trying to catch the highly prized Copper River Salmon. He has always enjoyed the paddle sports and is glad share his expertise with you.
Robin came to Alaska over 20 years ago. She fell in love with the Alaskan wilderness and the unique lifestyles of people in Alaska. She has worked in environmental education, and as a naturalist for various state and federal agencies in Alaska. She loves to share her wealth of knowledge with all who join her on the river or on a hike into the back country.
John comes to us from Arizona. John has floated several rivers in Arizona and "The Lower 48." During Alaska's off season John owns and operates his own outfitter guide service based in Tucson where he offers a variety of adventures in the back country of southern Arizona and Mexico. He has been guiding for 15 years. Oldest of a family of eleven he has three grown children. He has a great sense of humor and has fun with everyone he meets. John tells us he has the best of both worlds, The Southwest and Alaska.
Kathy grew up whitewater canoeing. She has raced whitewater canoes all over the country. She settled in Alaska almost two decades ago, bringing her spirit of adventure and love of boating with her. She has rafted and canoed numerous rivers in this great state, and is always eager to take you down the river.
