Hidden in the high desert mountains moments from the glitter of the renowned Las Vegas Strip exists a world where excursions through time transport the modern day traveler on a journey to the past and an experience formerly known only to the American Cowboy of the Old West.

Operated within the beautiful Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area under a license agreement with the United States Bureau of Land Management, Cowboy Trail Rides offers an authentic and adventurous Old West experience in one of America's most scenic protected environments.

At Red Rock Canyon Riding Stables, we offer a learning experience along with the enjoyment of knowing you're in good hands. Our Cowboys and Cowgirls guide you along the trail, teaching you how to ride horseback through the back country of Red Rock Canyon while staying safe and enjoying all that nature provides. We provide lessons and trails for the first time horseback rider to the more experienced rider. Our Cowboys and Cowgirls begin each trail ride with a hands on lesson, in which we explain the proper techniques for checking your horse and tack, mounting and dismounting your horse safely, and handling your horse, all to make your back country horseback ride safe and pleasurable. With your newfound knowledge you'll feel more comfortable, confident, and relaxed---after all, that's what horseback riding in the back country is all about! There's nothing like the feel of a good horse underneath you as you enjoy the beautiful scenery of Red Rock Canyon.
