St. Augustine's Kayak & Tours (Visit this link)

We offer guided day trips out of the Peterson Bay Kayaking Center in the heart of Kachemak Bay State Park. Our full and half day trips are diverse, taking in the Gull Island bird rookery and its 16,000 nesting birds and China Poot Bay, often touted as one of the world's richest marine bays with its vast system of tidal channels.

Our trips are limited to small groups and are organized to take best advantage of fair tidal currents and the protected waters of small inner bays. Our typical day paddle is a loop of an island peninsula where new scenery unfolds at every turn.

Water taxi, lunch, all equipment, instruction and guide service are included and no kayak experience is necessary.

What to bring? Layered clothing, personal water bottle, sunscreen, light rain gear (pants & jacket), cameras, binoculars, bird book, and a love of nature.
