Alaska Bear Tours (Visit this link)

This is our eleventh year visiting the parks on the M/V Kittiwake II in either a research capacity or treating guests like you and your family to a truly unique wilderness experience.

We are an ecologically oriented small cruise ship business providing researchers, photographers, film companies and adventurers a high quality family oriented wildlife viewing experience. It is our goal to inspire our guests to support wildlife habitat preservation.

The National Parks' coastlines are rich in wildlife and home to many species including seals, otters, porpoise, whales, fox and bird rookeries with ample viewing opportunities for most migratory and nesting seabirds indigenous to Alaska. These remote coastlines are accessible only by boat or aircraft. This remoteness and the fact that we typically take only six guests guarantees you uncrowded viewing. The safety, mobility and size of the Kittiwake II allows us to carry shore boats on deck for use in cruising close to shorelines.

Let us take you into the real Alaskan bush. Let us take you to the same roadless wilderness Captain James Cook explored in the 18th century. Fly west with us over Cook Inlet and witness Mt. Augustine, an active island volcano.

View the streams and rivers of the Alaska range fill with flashes of red as the salmon fight their way back up the very stream they were spawned in. Sail along side a pod of Orcas on the coast of Katmai National Park. Observe Eagles soaring and Puffins, and Loons..... Kayak up to the waterfall of Moonlight Cove and watch the calving of the tidewater glaciers...... And come walk with us in “Bear Country”. Using our boat as a floating lodge we'll leave nothing but footprints.
