Napoleon Skydiving Center (Visit this link)

Napoleon Skydiving Center is located on M-50, approximately 8 miles southeast of Jackson, Michigan. Drive time from Ann Arbor or Lansing is around an hour, from Toledo or Detroit less than two hours. The town of Napoleon borders the DZ and features several restaurants, stores, and bars within walking distance.

The DZ uses a Cessna Grand Caravan as the primary airlift. The Grand Caravan is provided by by Westwind Air LLC, and can carry 17 skydivers to 13,000 feet.
To accommodate smaller groups, NSC also uses two Cessna 182 aircraft owned by Mike Pelzer. The 182's carry 4 jumpers to 10,000 feet.

The main building at NSC houses the manifest and student training operations. The building itself has an interesting aviation background, as it was the home of the Maule family when Maule Aircraft Mfg. was located in Napoleon. In addition to sheltering DZ operations, the building's porch (complete with a fire pit) serves as the DZ meeting place during the evenings.

Weekend camping at the DZ is accommodated by outdoor shower and toilet facilities as well as a barn for those unable or unwilling to camp. Larger campers and trailers can be accommodated at the East end of the landing area. Long term camping can be done at the Campground located 5 miles from the DZ.

The large landing area is adjacent to the parking and camping areas and is free of major hazards.
