The 10 trails at this resort are really good. Clear Fork experiences lighter snowfall than the local average every year. With a 300 foot drop it's not the tallest hill there is but Clear Fork makes up for it in other ways. Clear Fork is a mid size ski mountain with an average elevation drop if compared to other mid west ski areas. Clear Fork has modest variety of runs and a good selection of lifts. The 4 feet of natural snow that falls here each season is pretty ok for a ski area like this one. Having a skiable area of 60 acres, it's small enough to get to know all your fellow skiers. All 6 lifts at this resort make for a relaxing ride up the hill. Some people prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way this area has a large number of ski spots. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors beats anything. Clear Fork is a friendly place and people who work there are very nice. No other ski area for 102 miles has a higher vertical drop. Clear Fork has a much lower than average ratio of expert and advanced runs, and a much higher than average ratio of intermediate and beginner runs. Clear Fork is a good ski area for the whole family with plenty of easy runs. Lots of skiers from Mount Vernon like to ski here. Snowboarding and skiing in this part of Ohio is a great thing to do the whole winter. The winter months in Ohio is the most wonderful time of the year for skiing and snowboarding.
