The Terrain Park at Mount Sunapee offers quality features for beginner, intermediate and expert skiers and snowboarders.Our dedicated staff will provide the ultimate terrain park for the freestyle enthusiast, with daily grooming and maintenance. With a combination of tabletops, hips, rails, fun-boxes, rollers, and a 400-foot Half Pipe, our terrain park is set up for the interests of every skier and snowboarder.
Our Half Pipe is 400' long with 13-foot walls, while our Quarter Pipe has 18-foot walls.
New this season, Mount Sunapee has a new Zaugg Pipe Cutter to ensure that the Half Pipe
will be groomed and cut to perfection!
Our jumps range from small to large, accommodating every ability level of skiing and snowboarding. The Pipeline side is built with smaller jumps for the beginner freestylers. With a set of rollers at the top of the run leading into three smaller jumps, this is the perfect place for beginners to learn how to maneuver in the air. The jumps on Jetstream range from intermediate to expert. These jumps are step-downs and tabletops. Our step-down jumps have different sizes for all riders. The tabletop jumps can be used in two different ways. A rider can air straight over it or use it as a hip, landing on the side of it. The landings are groomed as steep as possible for safety and ease on the rider.
Our rails are handcrafted at Mount Sunapee and take on many different shapes and sizes. Most of our rails are 2x4 or 2x5 steel tubing. This gives the skier or snowboarder more surface area to slide on. As part of the park maintenance, our rails are buffed daily to ensure safety. We provide a variety of rails for skiers and riders of all abilities. Every rail is skirted to provide the maximum amount of safety. New this year: 40' S-Rail and 50' Flat rail.
The Calypso beginner freestyle terrain park on South Peak offers several features for beginner freestyle skiers and snowboarders. Created entirely by snow, the Calypso park provides an opportunity for individuals to improve their skills without serious risk of injury. Calypso is also a great warm-up trail for more experienced skiers and riders.
