Arrowhead Recreation Area (Visit this link)
Arrowhead Recreation Area is jointly run by the city of Claremont and the Arrowhead Recreation Club. The facility is owned by the city and is operated as a park facility. The Arrowhead Recreation Club leases the facility and is responsible for all aspects of ski area operations during the winter time as well as making improvements to the ski area. During non holiday periods the parks department operates day care and summer camp programs in the main part of the facility though out the year. During the weekend and holiday periods things at the faclity get reshuffled so part of the floor and cooking facilities can be used to support ski area operations. Long term plan is for the recreation club to transition by adding more inter week operating hours and more of the ski terrain to be available for use.
