Nestled in the heart of the Little Belt Mountains you’ll find Showdown Ski Area. Since 1936, Showdown has been known for its family friendly atmosphere and amazing all natural snow. With a base area elevation that’s higher than many summits and a location that puts us right in the middle of the winter storm paths, Showdown gets the good snow and keeps it longer.
Great skiing is just part of what has kept Showdown going for 70 years . The real secret to our success is the friendly folks that work and play here. George and his family have been running the show for over 30 years, and have helped generations of Montanans learn to love winter. Whether you’re a downhill demon or just looking for a fun place to have a drink, a laugh and soak in the sparkles of winter, Showdown is the place to play.
Days and Hours of Operations- For the true fanatic, ski season can never be long enough. Our season typically runs from early-December through early-April. We rely on the Snow-Gods for 100% of our snow, so the season can shift slightly, depending on their whims. What day of the week to visit Showdown? Powder Wednesdays are the way to go – Being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays means there’s bound to be untracked glory for all!
