John Chase is a former U.S. Biathlon Team member, 1984 Olympic Trial participant, 1984 Eastern Biathlon Champion, and 1998 Eastern Masters Classic Champion. He has coached at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. and at the local high school level. This is the third ski trail system John has designed in New England. John is currently a senior nursing student at The University of Maine in Orono.
Susan Fierce Chase is a local citizen race competitor, a former teacher, and currently enjoys cross country skiing for fitness and fun as an at-home mother.
