About Gypsyblood Dive: Captain's Anthony and Angelo want to thank all of our customers for making 2004 a very successful first full year of operation.

Every diver knows, every day on the water, is an adventure, and we never quite know what to expect. 2004 saw a wide range of divers join us aboard the "Big Gypsy", from new open water students to some of the most talented and experienced divers in the Technical Dive community anywhere in the world.

We took divers on basic, shallow, in-shore training dives as well as multiple visits to some of the most sought after technical dive destinations in the Northeast, such as the U-869 and the S.S. Carolina.

In fact, a special occasion for all of us occured when we took John Chatterton and Richie Kolar, and the crew of 60 Minites, to film John and Richie on the 869 as part of the release of the terrific book, Shadow Divers, which chronicles the discovery and eventual identification of this mystery German U-Boat that lies 50 miles off the coast of New Jersey.

We are off to an exciting start to 2005 as well. We would like to especially draw your attention to the April/May dive dates. These are "open boats" with specific dive destinations. A number of dive shops have told us they will take a number of spots, but it is too early in the season to commit to the entire charter. So this is a great opportunity for individual divers, or small groups, to join us on these dives. Later in the season, the dates are typically booked by dive shops exclusively and availability is far more limited.

We also want to note that we do not have plans this year to run from Brielle. I know for some of you, the extra drive time to Barnegat might be of some concern. There are two considerations worth mentioning: 1) If you have been out with us before, you know we run much faster on the water...in some cases more than two and one half times faster, which gets us out and back much quicker. 2) In our Marina at Barnegat Lighthouse, you can back your vehicle right to the stern of the boat. No long docks to drag your gear down. It may not be perfect, if you are comimg from "up north", but we can get you out and back so much quicker, your day will be no longer and perhaps even shorter. Just something to consider.

At Gypsyblood Dive our goal continues to be the best "Full-Service" Dive Charter Operation anywhere. All dive trips are aboard the 2003, USCG certified and inspected, 50 foot Evans custom dive boat. Designed by divers for divers, with features that include 2 rest rooms, a fresh water wash down, room for all your equipment and powered by twin 450HP Cummins Diesel engines for a cruising speed of well over 20 knots.

She is actually back at the builder getting further improvements for next year, with the addition of a galley, better over-night accomodations, a new anchor system to better "dual anchor" on the deep stuff etc.

Gypsyblood is docked in slip number 2 at the Barnegat Light Marina, located at 6th St. and Barnegat Bay in Barnegat, New Jersey.

The GypsyBlood is equipped with the latest in electronics, first-aid, oxygen, and life rafts for your safety and peace of mind.

The GypsyBlood sails to some of the greatest dive locations in the North Atlantic. From the fabulous artificial reef system to the many maritime stories told by the high seas disasters of shipwrecks. Of special interest are those ships that fell victim to the German U-boat fleet during both World War's, that have their own unique stories to tell.

All of which are home to abundant sea life, especially our favorite, Lobster!

We offer individual rates as well as special group rates for Dive Clubs and Dive Shops, please see the policy section of this site, e-mail us or call for details (609-597-4174).

Our sole mission is to deliver a safe, enjoyable dive experience with a highly qualified crew, to bring you back again and again.
