The open water class has two different parts, the class / pool portion and the open water outdives.
The class and pool portion is 6 - 3 hour classes. The classroom part is generally one hour long, held here at the shop. The pool portion is held at the Concord Raquet Club, and is generally 1-1/2 to 2 hours long.
The open water part is 4 dives usually done over one weekend. These dives will be done in the ocean, or in the surrounding lakes. There are three ways to complete your opewater dives. You can do your dives with us, just schedule the for some time in the spring, or for a small additional fee, we will train you in the use of a dry suit and get you certified right away. If a warmer location is in your future, we can fill out referral paper work and you can get certified while on vacation.
The cost of the class includes, all six class and pool sessions, the book and study materials, all four open water dives, and most of the equipment required. Each student is resposible for their own mask, snorkel and fins.


Advanced Open Water- The Advanced Open Water course is all about experience. It's what we like to call, "A years worth of experience in five dives".
In the Advanced Open Water course, there is only one class session and five open water dives. The class room session is a very informal meeting in which you meet your instructor, recieve your home work assignments and schedule the open water dives.
The open water dives are completed over three days of diving, the last two dives being done off a chartered dive boat off the coast of New England.

Rescue Diver Course The Rescue Diver Course is the class that will help prepare you for any diving adventure.
In the Rescue Diver Course, there are five classroom Sessions and two days of diving. The classroiom portion has a open discussion format, where the students talk with each other about the many different medical and rescue techniqes, with the instructor there to offer guicance. The two days of diving are where the students will put what they learned in the class room to practical use. They will practice many different self rescue, search & recovery and rescue techniques.
Prerequisites for this course are a Advanced Open Water certification, at least 20 logged dives, and a Medic First Aid, or a CPR certification.
The Medic First Aid course is offered by Aquanuts for anybody who needs it. It is two nights for classroom training where students will learn basic first aid techniques.
The cost of the course includes all five classroom sessions, the book and study materials, and both days of dives. If a student needs to rent any equipment, it wqill be at a 20% student discount rate.
