Maui Mermaid School of Diving (Visit this link)

Master Scuba Instructor Theresa Young has taught Scuba Diving and Underwater Photography on Maui for over fifteen years. She has developed her teaching methodology to help students’ focus on safety while learning more about the marine environment they are diving in.

Hawai’i is a very unique place in that there are many animals living in our ocean that are endemic to just these islands. Theresa often captures these wonderful creatures on film.

After receiving her Masters degree in Education, Theresa worked as a researcher in Papua New Guinea. While working on film crews, she learned more about underwater lighting from expert Tom Campbell. She always returns to Maui with new educational material to share with her student’s and underwater photography clients.

Many people have leaned to Scuba Dive under the patient training and guidance of Theresa Young and her helpful staff. Some of Maui Mermaid students after receiving their P.A.D.I. Open Water Certificate, head out all over the world taking their solid training to explore new dive destinations.
