The Open Water class is the basic entry Scuba course. It teaches those who are interested in diving the fundamentals. This class is divided into three parts classroom, pool work, and ocean sessions. A typical course takes about three weeks and meets twice a week. At the end of the course there are four dives that take place in the Ocean usually done during a weekend. Note if needed the time schedule for these and all courses are flexible please refer to the private class section.
Advance Open Water- This course is taken after the Open Water course to increase a students experience under the supervision of a Instructor. This class introduces a student to several specialties such as deep diving, night diving, navigation, wreck, drift, and underwater photography. During this course five dives are completed in one of these specialties or from a master list of specialties. This course has no pool sessions and no final exam.
Specialties- Specialties classes are a way for divers to enhance there abilities in a certain area of diving. Specialties are taken after the advance class and are much more detailed than in the advance course. These classes have between two to four dives per specialty. Specialties include those mentioned above and others such as Nitrox, underwater photography, and search and recovery.
Rescue Diver- This class teaches diver how to both rescue themselves and other divers in the case a problem arises and is a great way for divers to increase there confidence level.
Divemaster- This class is the first level into becoming a Scuba professional. This class needs to be completed before a diver can become a instructor. This class details diving physiology, equipment, supervising other divers, physics.
Private classes- The above mentioned courses are taught in groups on specific schedule. If a individuals would like a one on one course, a small group class, or a flexible schedule that can be accomplished with no problem. Courses can be completed in as little as three days or over a longer span of time.
