Hello, just a little about me. My name is John Martin. I have been diving since 1990. I fell in love with it when I did my first pool and knew I would want to go on to instructing so that I could share the excitement I felt with others. My open water 1 and open water 2 certifications were through NAUI and I had a fantastic intructor! (thanks Mike Kelly and my little brother who surprised me with paying for the lessons!) I recently completed my Open Water and Advanced Open Water instructors course (see "Class" page), through Underwater Excursions of Visalia, Ca., Thanks Blair and Joe. At 43 I refer to myself as a "middle aged scuba dude", goes to show you are never too old! I am part of a "scuba family"; My mother and her husband are divers, my brother is a PADI instructor, my daughter was certified this past July 2003, and my brother- in-law is my dive buddy. Can't wait til my son, nephew and niece get certified! I love diving and love sharing the excitement of diving with others. There is nothing else like it!
