Maine Forest & Logging Museum

Ogunquit Museum of American Art

Upon entering the Museum, visitors look directly through the glass wall of its main gallery to the dramatic coast, the ocean and the far horizon. The Museum building, now approximatly 7,500 square feet, is surrounded by three acres of landscaped grounds, with a reflecting pool and sculpture gardens.

Patten Lumbermen's Museum

Established to document Maine Logging History, by preserving the logging heritage and accomplishments of early inhabitants of the state of Maine. Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village

The Community presently consists of eighteen buildings located on 1,800 acres of land. We maintain a tree farm, apple orchard, vegetable gardens, commercial herb garden, hay fields, pastures, a flock of sheep, and a variety of livestock. Other occupations include manufacturing of fancy goods, basket making, weaving, printing, and the manufacturing of some small woodenware.

Stanley Museum

The Museum commemorates and preserves the heritage of Stanley family genius. The famous "Stanley Steamer" automobile was invented by Francis Edgar Stanley and manufactured by him and his twin brother, usually referred to as the Stanley twins, F.E. and F.O. The sister, Chansonetta, is equally important for her photographs depicting rural turn-of-the-century American life.
