Museum of World Treasures (Visit this link)
The Museum's first floor exhibits the Ancient World, beginning with the 'Age of the Dinosaurs'. Over a dozen actual fossils including a very dramatic battling dinosaur display on a cliff, an authentic Triceratops and a huge killer Tyrannosaur Albertosaurus will mesmerize you.
Next you will see wonderful treasures form cave men and from the earliest civilizations including Mesopotamia. Fabulous treasures from ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome highlighted by weapons, gold jewelry, beautiful statues and pottery, sarcophagi, and two Royal Egyptian mummies are only a portion of the artifacts you will see on the First Floor.
The second floor houses one of the finest collections of European Royalty in the world, highlighted by royal gold jewelry, swords, coins, and authentic autographs framed with portraits of the most famous kings and queens of Europe back to the 12th Century. The Hall of Presidents is filled with treasures from colonial America to the present, and shows actual autographs and pictures of all 43 American Presidents, and yes, even a lock of George Washington's hair!
Many Revolutionary War weapons and important early American documents are also shown along with autographs of Patrick Henry, Paul Revere, John Hancock, Alexander Hamilton, and even Benedict Arnold.
American military history is vividly exhibited in five other galleries, including one of the finest Civil War collections in America, a large WWI and WWII exhibition with vintage weapons, flags, uniformed mannequin scenes, and true signatures of almost every major leader of Europe, Asia, and America during these critical periods of history.
The third floor comprises 5 galleries including Wichita's Sports Hall of Fame artifacts, Hollywood Celebrity Collection, Western Frontier exhibit, a music room, formal meeting area and children's play area with a large castle, dungeon, moonwalk, toys and puppet theatres.
