Angel Mounds State Historic Site

Nationally recognized as one of the best preserved prehistoric Native American sites in the United States. From 1100 to 1450 A. D., a town on this site was home to people of the Middle Mississippian culture, who engaged in hunting and farming on the rich bottom lands of the Ohio River. Several thousand people lived in this town protected by a stockade made of wattle and daub.

Art Museum of Greater Lafayette

Over the years the collection has expanded to over 800 works of art as a result of donations and purchases. Major donations, including the Prisker Pottery Collection, the Alice Baber Memorial Collection, the Akeley Collection, and the Robert and Ellie Haan donations of work by important Indiana artists, have helped to enhance the quality of the collection.

Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum

Dedicated to the memory of all military and civilian personnel who served in any capacity in the wars and conflicts from 1942 to 1970. It serves to recall events of WWII, The Korea, Cuban and Vietnam conflicts which touched many of our lives.

Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum

More than 100 intriguing vehicles, from the horseless carriages of the 1890’s to the muscular sports cars of today, occupy two floors of the 1930 factory headquarters of the Auburn Automobile Company.

Brauer Museum of Art

Located in the state-of-art Center for the Arts on the Valparaiso University campus, the museum is home to a nationally recognized collection of 19th and 20th century American art and includes works by Frederic Edwin Church, Asher B. Durand, Childe Hassam, Georgia O'Keeffe and Ed Paschke. It also houses the largest known collection of works by Junius R. Sloan, a Hudson River School painter who lived and worked in the Midwest. Other focus areas within the collection include world religious art and Midwestern regional art. As well as displaying selections from its permanent collection, it hosts a full schedule of special exhibitions and events.

Candles Holocaust Museum

Children's Museum of Indianapolis

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, a nonprofit institution committed to enriching the lives of children, is the largest children’s museum in the world. The more than 400,000-square-foot facility houses 11 major galleries that explore the physical and natural sciences, history, world cultures and the arts. The Children’s Museum is a place to learn and do. Whenever possible, exhibits are “hands-on” or participatory in nature. The Children’s Museum strives to be one of the vital links in the lives of children as it supports their intellectual curiosity and love of learning. The museum, situated on 14 acres of land in Indianapolis, presents thousands of programs and activities each year.

Fairmount Historical Museum

Proudly displays a number of collections representative of the town of Fairmount, Indiana. In addition to artifacts related to the town, its families and schools, the museum also holds many pieces related to and once owned by James Dean and his family. These include awards, clothing, motorcycles and more. The museum also houses a tribute to another Fairmount native, Jim Davis and his creation, "Garfield".

Fort Wayne Museum of Art

Our permanent collection consists of nearly 1,400 American paintings, sculpture, drawings, prints and photographs. The museum’s collection includes primarily American created after 1850. Significant works include paintings by Janet Fish, William Forsyth, George Inness, Thomas Moran and Larry Rivers; sculpture by Mark di Suvero and George Rickey; and a collection of 56 Indiana Amish quilts.

General Lew Wallace Study & Museum

Located in the private study of Major General Lew Wallace, author of Ben-Hur, the museum contains items collected by Wallace during his life as an author, soldier, statesman, artist, violinist, and inventor. Wallace often wrote his literary works on the grounds of the study.

Howard Steamboat Museum

Museum collections include tools, models, books, paints and artifacts associated with the complex and creative Steamboat era. A gem of the model collection is a model of the packet boat "Indiana", the most detailed and accurate rendition of a Howard steamboat known. The Museum is custodian of the Field Collection of 40 paintings, drawings and etchings representing the work of Eugene Field and other regional and foreign artists.

Indiana Medical History Museum

Maintains a collection of scientific artifacts from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in a completely authentic setting. Constructed in 1895 and inaugurated in 1896, the nineteen-room Pathological Department Building, as it was then called, is equipped with three clinical laboratories, a photography lab, teaching amphitheatre, autopsy room and library.

Indiana Railway Museum

Lincoln Museum

Houses the world’s largest private collection dedicated to the life and times of Abraham Lincoln.
