Carey's Cave (Visit this link)
Forget cave tours where you are just part of a large group. The country charm of the Wee Jasper Valley continues beneath the surface as you begin your tour of Carey's Cave. Don't be put off if your thoughts of caves involve descending deep into the earth, with all the steps that would involve. Carey's Cave penetrates roughly in a horizontal manner into the side of a hill so even people with mobility problems can appreciate the charms of the caves.
The cave is well lit throughout by electric lights and the guides are well versed in both the folklore and science of the caves. Number one priority of the Carey's Cave guides is that you have a good time, irrespective of child, adult or non-English speaker. Everyone is catered for and everyone comes away having experienced something that goes beyond a simple cave inspection.
Upon arriving in Wee Jasper you will have no trouble finding Carey's Cave as it is well signposted. The cave is located 6km north of the village along a sealed road.
Ample free parking is available for cars and tour coaches.
No camping is permitted at Carey's Cave itself, but there are camping Reserves throughout the Wee Jasper valley, and your guide will be happy to direct you to accommodation that suits your requirements.
We have picnic facilities, toilets and a small kiosk with drinks and icecreams. There is currently no BBQ on site but you are welcome to bring your own or use the facilities on one of the Reserves throughout the valley.
People with physical difficulties should not be deterred from visiting Carey's Cave as special arrangements can often be made (preferably with advance notice). Our highest priority is for everyone to enjoy the natural wonder of the cave.
