Surrounded by two wooden giants, Coaster Alley is not the type of place you want to walk through alone. It takes friends and guts to climb aboard Tremors, Silverwood’s signature 60-mile per hour wooden rollercoaster. After all, dropping over 100 feet and plunging through pitch-black underground tunnels of terror is not for the faint of heart. Tremors was named one of the Top 5 coasters in the nation by Teen People magazine.
Speaking of terror, when you’re ready for a little aftershock, hop on Timber Terror, Tremor’s slightly smaller but equally twisted cousin. Timber Terror is an air coaster (meaning you get lots of air between your seat and ours). Plunge from a height of 85 feet at 55 miles per hour.
Go head over heels for the aptly named Corkscrew, which turns your world upside down – not once, but twice. This historic coaster was the first in the nation to take riders on an upside down thrill ride.
Your life flashes before your eyes. We catch it all on camera. Buy your Tremors ride photo in the gift shop, and be sure to check out the cool clothes and souvenirs while you’re at it.
For big fun on a slightly smaller scale, there are carnival rides, games, and "Garfield's Summer Camp", a playground featuring the exciting, but not so scary, Tiny Toot Roller Coaster, a climbing tree fortress, a kiddie Ferris wheel, an airplane ride and more. Plus Garfield and Odie's house where kids can enjoy the crazy antics and loveable hugs from these soft, furry friends.
Hop aboard a relaxing, vintage turn-of-the-century steam train ride that takes you through the Silverwood forest, over tressels and past rock outcroppings. Plus you get a behind the scenes look at all 60 rides and attractions Silverwood has to offer.
If you prefer the wet, but not so wild, slide on your bathing suit and slip into Elkhorn Creek, a lazy river where you can float through lounging pools and waterfalls.
Polliwog Park is a perfect place for kidsit features over 50 interactive play elements, including wading pools, water cannons, mini-slides, geysers, and how’s this for big, a 580-gallon bucket dump waterfall.
