Welcome to LEGOLAND® Windsor where there are over 50 interactive rides, attractions and shows that’ll keep the whole family entertained all day long. Set in 150 acres of parkland and featuring 47 million LEGO® bricks, LEGOLAND is great fun for children aged 2-12 and their families.
The entertainment at LEGOLAND is certainly hands-on. Children can ride one of our thrilling roller coasters, learn to drive at the Driving School, pan for gold, brave the Pirate Falls log flume or explore Miniland made from millions of LEGO® bricks.
New for 2005 there’s also five new attractions including three new rides. Go wild on the Dino Safari, take a spin on the Dino Dipper or enrol at the Fire Academy!
Looking after 150-acres of parkland is an on-going challenge for our landscapers so it is to their credit that over 97% of our guests rate the landscape as ‘very good’.
Located on the former site of Windsor Safari Park and bordered by Windsor Great Park, LEGOLAND is naturally scenic. However, it can be difficult mixing historical 300-year-old oak trees with exotic plant-life like palm trees. The unique Miniland area is also a big challenge for the team as they have to employ special techniques to work around the intricate LEGO models that inhabit the area.
The team takes into consideration that our average sized guest is knee high so points of vision need to be on their level.
For many children the idea of building models out of LEGO bricks all day sounds like the best job in the world! Well there are six talented people at LEGOLAND Windsor who get paid to do just that!
All LEGO models are designed by hand using special graph paper to ensure every angle is taken into consideration. For larger models a prototype is built and in the case of models of buildings the model makers invariably visit the site to photograph it. After the site visit extensive research and planning can commence on the final model, which when completed is glued to make it strong enough to withstand the elements. As well as creating new LEGO models for the park, the team are also responsible for the on-going cleaning and maintenance of existing models.
There is never a dull moment at LEGOLAND WINDSOR! There is entertainment throughout the season in our show venues.
